Hardie Board & Fiber Cement Siding

James Hardie–style fiber cement is one of the most specified commercial cladding choices for multi-family, institutional, and light commercial work — and A-STAR installs it every day across Greater Cleveland and Akron.

Fiber cement stands up to freeze–thaw cycles, humidity, and impact better than wood, while meeting demanding fire and building-code expectations. We install lap, vertical panel / board-and-batten, and shake profiles so architects and owners get the right look on every elevation.

Unlike residential-only siding shops, our crews are union carpenters coordinated around occupied buildings, GC schedules, and roof–wall transitions. When the project also needs ACM accents or custom trim, the same team keeps the envelope under one roof.

Alucobond ACM Panels

A-STAR’s primary ACM cladding is Alucobond® from 3A Composites — including Alucobond Plus fire-rated panels when codes and specs call for them.

Alucobond aluminum composite panels give commercial façades a flat, modern finish with excellent color consistency and weather performance. We fabricate and install to manufacturer requirements so appearance and warranty stay intact — including installing panels in one direction so light and finish read evenly across the elevation.

For retail, offices, institutional, and high-visibility renovations, Alucobond is the go-to when owners and architects want a sharp cladding look without the weight of solid plate. Fire-rated Plus cores are available for assemblies that need them.

Metal Panel Cladding

Architectural metal panels give commercial and industrial buildings clean lines, durability, and fast coverage — from modern retail to warehouses and additions.

We install standing seam, corrugated, and flat panel systems, including custom profiles and transitions into Hardie, Alucobond ACM, Laminators, or existing walls. Metal is a strong choice when you need fire resistance, long service life, and a contemporary look with minimal maintenance.

Commercial Gutters Fabricated On the Jobsite

A-STAR builds commercial gutter systems on site so length, pitch, and outlets match the building — not a stock piece forced to fit.

On-site fabrication lets us run continuous runs, dial in slope for Northeast Ohio rain and snow melt, and size outlets for real roof drainage. We coordinate gutters with fascia, edge metals, and downspouts so water leaves the envelope cleanly and protects foundations and walkways.

For GCs and facility managers, that means fewer seams, fewer callbacks, and a drainage system designed around your roof and elevations — not a catalog length.
